Summary: The desert sky is full of stars, and Bennett could stare at them for hours

Bennett has slept in many ruins before, from the ancient Monstadt temples dug into mountainsides to the open-air ruins of Liyue to Inazuma’s forgotten shrines long swallowed by the earth.
But none of them hold a candle to Sumeru’s desert-eaten villages, the stars glittering as gems on the ballgown of the sky.
He stares at them for hours. Heart stopped. Breath caught in his throat. His friends snoring away in their sleeping bags and turning over in the night. His watch ended ages ago, but Bennett can’t sleep just yet. Too caught up in the starlight reflecting in his eyes.
